Music for All continues the tradition of outstanding national honors ensembles showcasing the finest high school musicians with the Jazz Band of America. The Jazz Band of America is comprised of high school musicians, selected by recorded audition.
Dr. Lou Fischer
Conductor, 2013 Jazz Band of America
Dr. Lou Fischer is Professor of Music, jazz activities coordinator, and jazz ensemble director at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. A member of the internationally recognized University of North Texas One OClock Lab Band ('71-'74), Dr. Fischer received a BM in jazz performance and an MA in Composition from the University of Denver. He holds a Doctor of Arts in bass performance, with a secondary in theory and composition from Ball State University in Indiana.

- DVD and CD recording of the Jazz Band of America Concert and group photograph
- Jazz Band of America members are eligible to be nominated for The Revelli Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a Music for All National Festival participating senior intending to study music performance or music education and pursue a career as a music educator
- The “credential" of membership in an elite “family" that includes only a select number of the nation’s most outstanding young musicians
