Honor Ensembles

Part of the Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha

Music for All presents three positively life-changing honor ensemble experiences for the nation’s outstanding high school concert band, orchestra and jazz musicians. As part of the Music for All National Festival, the honor ensembles provide a national stage and world-class learning and performance opportunities with distinguished conductors, artists and master teachers.

Honor Orchestra of America, Larry J. Livingston, 2011 conductor

Presented in cooperation with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Honor Orchestra of America performs two shared concerts with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra as part of their Subscription Series, at Hilbert Circle Theatre.

Jazz Band of America, Shelly Berg, 2011 conductor

Two application form deadlines for 2011 Honor Ensembles:

  • June 30, 2010 (Early Bird, $30 application fee)
  • September 1, 2010 (Final, $45 application fee)
  • Deadline for audition recording submission: September 15, 2010

Requirements for Application
