Music for All presents Bands of America Regional marching band Championships across the country each fall. BOA regional marching band shows are open to all high school bands on a first come, first served basis, providing a positive atmosphere and evaluation and input for performing bands that will help elevate them to the next level.
Why Bands of America?
As with all of Music for All’s programs, Bands of America Championships emphasize the pursuit of performance excellence, the educational experience of participation and quality evaluation. Participation offers students the chance to be placed on the nation’s highest pedestals, alongside their peers.
Directors receive commentary from the most skilled judges and educators in the nation, while students have the chance to watch many of the very best bands in the country and observe high levels of programming and performance. Bands of America Championships are an opportunity to demonstrate excellence, to receive invaluable input and feedback, and to evaluate the achievement of your students and the progress of your program on a national level. Competition can serve as a barometer for your program’s progress.
The Bands of America experience goes beyond the performance field. From the parking lot to BOA event environment for performers and spectators to the excitement of the awards ceremonies, Bands of America Championships create an aura of excellence that fosters healthy competition and student and professional development, all in an atmosphere of celebration for the entire band program.
Bands of America Regional Championships are complete championships and educational events in their own right, not qualifying events for the Grand Nationals. Thirty bands typically perform in preliminary competition with ten bands advancing to the evening Finals.
Bands of America Super Regional Championships are two-day regional events with up to 60 bands and 14 finalists at world-class venues. Learn more about Super Regionals.
