Music for All is thrilled to share exciting staffing news for three Director-level positions.

Cam Stasa, Bands of America Hall of Fame member who served BOA and Music for All on staff from 1989 to 2010, will return to Music for All as Director of Participant Relations and Special Projects, effective mid-May, 2016. Stasa most recently served as Associate Director of Admissions at Vandercook College of Music in Chicago.

Laura Blake has been promoted to Director of Events, having served as Events Manager since 2013. Blake has been with Music for All in the Indianapolis office since 2005.

Ashlee Walls has been promoted to Director of Advancement and will oversee sponsorships and partnerships, as well as fund development. Walls joined the Music for All staff as Corporate Relations Manager in October 2014.

Registration is now live for the Festival Directors’ Academy at the 2016 Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, March 10-12, in Indianapolis.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Music for All National Festival, and the inaugural Festival Directors’ Academy. We hope to see you there! If you have further questions, please call Music for All's Education department staff at 800.848.2263.

Music for All is diligently working to secure the proper license agreements before we can Live Webcast from St. Louis October 16-17, and before we can start taking orders for Live Webcasts.

As of 11:00 a.m. ET Friday we have not yet received the required authorization and cannot yet begin taking orders.

To our guests who are waiting to order and watch the Live Webcast, we understand your frustration. We are working on it continuously and are hopeful we will be able to launch the Live Webcast today as anticipated, but at this time, we do not have word on when we will be able to begin accepting orders, nor if authorization will be received in time to being streaming by the start of today's preliminary performances.

Powder Springs Finals Cancelled

As of 6:30 p.m. local time – Finals has been cancelled due to weather at the Bands of America Regional at Powder Springs, in the interest for the safety and well-being of the participants and spectators.

Note that this is in addition to cancellation of Finals at the BOA Dayton show, also due to weather.

Posted Saturday, Oct. 3, 6:20 p.m. local time – Due to ongoing inclement weather Music for All has cancelled Finals for the 2015 Bands of America Regional at Dayton.

The decision was made at the Finalist Directors Meeting, after discussing options with the Finalist Band Directors, and for the safety and well-being of the participants and spectators.

McAllen Prelims Resuming at 7:45 p.m.

Prelims performance for the last six bands will resume at 7:45 p.m. this evening at the Bands of America Regional in McAllen. Our hope is to get all six bands' prelims performances in this evening, weather permitting.

The order of performance for the final six bands, starting at 7:45 p.m. are:

Followed by an awards ceremony.

Music for All puts the safety of the students and audience first. We will proceed with the final six performance as weather permits.

UPDATE 6:50 p.m.: McAllen Weather Delay

Music for All continues to monitor the weather at the Bands of America Regional in McAllen. MFA officials have met with the band directors of the six bands who did not yet perform in Prelims to discuss options.

At the discretion of the affected directors, MFA will further delay the show, but continue to monitor whether in hopes of resuming Prelims performances this evening. The final call whether or not to resume performance is expected to be made at 8:15 p.m.

If it is determined the final six bands can safely perform, an updated performance schedule will be posted here and on

Clinics will be held as scheduled on Sunday at McAllen Memorial H.S.

In recognition of our 40th Anniversary in 2015, Music for All celebrated our past, present, and future. Here are 40 highlights from our 40th Anniversary year:

  1. Music for All receives invitation from the Tournament of Roses for the Bands of America Honor Band to march in the 2017 Rose Parade® in Pasadena, California.
  2. As part of the partnership, the Tournament of Roses also invited the BOA Honor Band to march in the 2021 Rose Parade.
  3. The Tournament of Roses parade will continue to invite one band from among the Bands of America Grand National Semi-Finalists to march in the Rose Parade.
  4. Music for All announces Middle School Student Concert Band Track to launch at 2016 Music for All Summer Symposium.
  5. Planning begins on the new Directors' Track at the Music for All National Festival.
  6. The Chamber Music National Festival launches at the 2015 Music for All National Festival.
  7. Music for All signs five year sponsor agreement to take part in the Music for All State Fair Band Day, presented by Music Travel Consultants starting in 2015.
  8. Music for All joins Music Travel Consultants as a sponsor of CITSA, the Central Indiana Track Show Association.
  9. Music for All signs on as charter partner of Be Part of the Music and Be Part of the Orchestra, both programs begin production in 2015. These new Be Part of… programs expand the Be Part of the Band: Elementary Style that Music for All is also a sponsor of.
  10. Music for All announces partnership with United Sound, a new initiative aimed at helping children with special needs to become involved in their high school band and orchestra programs.
  11. Northern California Regional added to fall schedule 2015, first time in NoCal in over 20 years.
  12. Largest number of Bands of America Championships in Music for All history in 2015, with 20 total shows.
  13. First marching band from Alaska to compete in the Grand National Championships to appear in the 2015 event: Colony H.S., Alaska.
  14. First marching band from Hawaii to compete in the Grand National Championships to appear in the 2015 event: Mililani H.S. Hawaii.
  15. First band from Hawaii is invited and performs at the Music for All National Festival in 2015.
  16. Bellbrook High School, Ohio, Band Alumni coordinate Grand Nationals celebration around MFA's 40th Anniversary.
  17. Largest MFA camp since the economic downturn of 2008 is held in June 2015 at Ball State University, with 1,216 students and 170 directors.
  18. Music for All hits 80% of capacity for its 2015 Bands of America Championships by May 1, 2015.
  19. Music for All launches online application for all honor ensembles at
  20. Music for All prepares to announce the creation of its new Ovation Awards, recognizing advocacy in action and best practices by schools, boosters, music education organizations, teachers, administrators, and communities.
  21. Music for All announces extension of contract with Ball State University for the Summer Symposium through 2018.
  22. Ball State University becomes a Corporate Sponsor of Music for All.
  23. The U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps join Music for All's family of Corporate Sponsors.

$100 Scholarship for INpact students to Middle School Concert Band Track

Music for All is excited to launch our Middle School Concert Band Track at our Summer Symposium, presented by Yamaha, June 27-July 2, 2016 at Ball State University.

We hope you enjoyed your INpact experience at DCI and we were pleased to be there and be part of it to support the program.

As a thank you and a special offer to Indiana Middle School students, Music for All is offering a $100 Scholarship for INpact students towards the Middle School Concert Band Track fee (the fee in effect at the time of registration).

Recommended age and experience level for the camp is Grades 7-8 with at least 1.5 years of music study
